we made it!

i am happy to report that i am alive and well. it's been quite a week. dan was out of town for work, ne ne & aunt nanny ali have been in ireland since monday and dottie was in florida. thank goodness for dow & bossy or we may not have made it through the week! we spent a lot of time up at kirkwood pool and even dragged dow up there on monday night! he was more than happy to join us since he's all alone too! on thursday i tried to run an errand for the new house with both girls, boy was that interesting. i was able to make a couple quick decisons about tile for the bathrooms but i will definitely need to go back to finalize! i promised a trip to the park for being such good girls. we hit up our beloved Drace and to no surprise had the entire park to ourselves. man, i love that place!

after a long day at the pool, topped off with a trip to dottie's on friday night...we came home to take a bath before it was off to bed. the girls wanted to look nice & fresh for when daddy got home on saturday!


saturday morning we (ok, me) were starting to get a little antsy waiting for daddy to get home so we met the sweeney's up at the "neigh, neigh" park. why we haven't been utilizing this park more is beyond me. it's right around the corner from us and the kids love feeding the horses. anyway, we only lasted about an hour in the 95 degree heat but it was just enough to keep us occupied until dan came home.


and boy are we happy to have him home! i know it's even harder on him to be away from his girls for that long. as you can see lilly was starting to go a little crazy without her daddy!

this friday we are off to the beach!! we cannot wait to get down there and to see ne ne & ali again. it's really crazy how much we miss them. i have to stop myself from calling my mom every morning. 10 days really is a long time but i know they are having a wonderful time and lord knows my mom deserves it!
